An updated version of the Plant Base Android app is released – version 1.42. Also a new version of its File Support app – 1.07.

This update has several bug fixes, mostly to resolve issues introduced in the previous version due to the larger changes required in adapting to newer Android releases. There are no other major changes.

Different launcher icons are used for these versions, as an indicator of the move to non-store releases.

As for the previous release, if updating from any version older than 1.41 (or 1.06 of File Support app), it’s best to uninstall the old app. This is not needed otherwise – simply install the new version. In all cases the database files are not affected.
